While some may label our photography style as candid, that characterization is inaccurate. Our approach aligns more with documentary photography.
Candid, documentary photography, and photojournalism share some similarities, but not entirely. Each genre involves capturing moments naturally and unobtrusively, often without direct intervention or posing of subjects. However, there are distinctions.
Candid photography primarily focuses on capturing spontaneous moments, typically taken without the subject’s awareness, resulting in genuine and unposed images that reflect the subject’s true emotions and expressions.
Documentary photography aims to capture reality, it involves a more deliberate approach. As documentarians, our goal is to tell a story through a sequence of images, but do it beautifully.
The images below are from various editorial / published photo essays depicting everything from devastated areas caused by natural disasters to lifestyle, recreation, street photography, and displaced peoples—a matter which we’re deeply concerned about and dedicate time to raising awareness.
